Personal:
Curtis was born and raised in Williston, VT. He played many different sports growing up but concentrated mostly on basketball and baseball. It was through sports that his love for the gym really blossomed. He also loves cooking tasty but healthy, macronutrient dense meals and sharing them with friends and family. Coupling clean eating with a good training regimen has complimented his goals of leading a happy, healthy and active lifestyle.

Education:
After graduating from CVU, he attended the University of New Mexico and received a BS in Biology and a BA in Philosophy. Wanting to further his knowledge of sports and conditioning, Curtis obtained his CSCS (Certified Sports and Conditioning Specialist) from the NSCA . He’s also a certified teacher, holding licenses in Vermont and New Mexico for both General Science and Health.

Professional:
While attending UNM, Curtis worked as a civil/criminal researcher for an attorney in Albuquerque, NM. Upon graduating, he found a job as a Project Manager building commercial kitchens. After his stint in management, he worked and traveled for Ceba-Tek, a supplement and nutraceutical co-packer and formulator. Inspired by his stint there, he formed Reciprobio, LLC and formulated and sold a pre-workout powder called “The Good Pre.” After selling a majority of the product, he returned to New Mexico and began a decade-long career working as a General Science and Health teacher. Within the school system, he’s also held positions as an Athletic Director, Coach and PLC Leader. Just prior to VASTA, Curtis managed a large corporate gym in South Burlington, VT and learned a lot about the business side of commercial gyms.
