    Functional assessments tell us how well you move and function so that we suggest the best program to enhance performance and reduce your potential for injury. We test strength, flexibility, mobility and endurance to prescribe the most appropriate starting point.

    We progress our programs using our proprietary systematic approach. This enables us to prescribe each person appropriately challenging training continuously. You’ll enjoy a combination of functional strength, flexibility, agility, balance, speed, power and endurance training

  • Complete Fitness/Athletic Development

    We believe that all our of clients whether they view themselves as athletes or not should move like athletes. You’ll develop the agility, balance, strength, and endurance to participate in any sport or activity with confidence.

  • Enhanced Performance & Injury Prevention

    Programs that enhance performance but lead to injury aren’t helpful.  Our programs enhance your performance and make you bulletproof.

Similar in approach to our individualized programs but with a group of 10-12 friends and peers.

Just like the individual training we perform evaluations to assess flexibility, mobility, strength, movement skills and endurance.

Using the same methodology and program design principles the group program is progressive. What this means for you is that we don’t just change up the drills/exercises on you…we want you to progress. We believe that people want to see and feel progress.

Our programs are flexible enough to be appropriate challenging for someone at any level of fitness. This means we have progressions and regressions for each exercise each person benefits maximally for each training session.

If you have limitations, pre-existing injuries or specific needs we must be informed before you attend any class and we may require that you do an individual evaluation to ensure your safety.

Group Exercise

Metabolically charged workouts designed to improve aerobic and anaerobic fitness systematically. Each session will be appropriately challenging, motivating and FUN.

These sessions will break up boredom from your current routine, provide a healthy competitive environment, shed light on new exercises to add to compliment your current fitness goals and give you the ENDORPHIN charge you desire. Enjoy the camaraderie with expert guidance in a fun and fast-paced atmosphere.

Over the last twenty years and ten orthopedic surgeries, I’ve worked with a dozen physical therapists in New England. Unequivocally, Jeff Albertson is the best. First, he actively listens when I describe my pain – this is more rare for a PT than it should be. Second, he rigorously deduces the root causes of my pain through detailed, often time-intensive assessment. Jeff runs a custom practice, not one-size-fits-all therapy. Finally, by virtue of this careful, methodical, and compassionate care, I leave my time with Jeff feeling significantly better and more knowledgeable. As someone who suffers from multiple sports injuries, I want momentary pain relief but also ongoing pain management that I can put in practice. No one does this better than Jeff. As an added bonus, he’s also a great conversationalist!

You kiddingly made the comment about how I’m going to be using the full extent of Vasta’s services.  And I wanted to tell you, all kidding aside, how grateful I am that Peter paved the way to Vasta for us Bernhardts to get in the groove with you guys and that I’ve been able to follow in his footsteps.

Ok, so maybe grateful isn’t exactly the right word.  But, if my injury had to happen, one thing I’ve been able to take off my worry plate is knowing where I’m going to go for PT and who will help me come back when I’m ready for the next step after that . . . my neighborhood Vasta!  Makes such a difference to know and trust you guys and that you know and understand me and my goals.  Kind of a major deal when looking ahead and a big source of comfort.

So, yeah, as Arnold said in The Terminator . . . .”I’ll be back!”

I came to VASTA with hip issues, result of a fracture and early arthritis caused by a really bad car accident I had back on 2013. Since then I went through different procedures but never pain free. I had the opportunity to have PT with the great Mike Woods! and because the work and time invested in my recovery, I owe him getting back to my ability to run, stand straight, walk and do anything I want without pain! At VASTA you can see that therapists work with one person at a time, which help them getting to know their patients and needs very well, creating a specific treatment program and monitoring the progress better. Thanks to you Mike and to the whole VASTA team! I am so grateful for all your support, sense of humor and the kind welcome I got from you all always! Loving what you do and having fun doing it, translates in good service which motivates a patient to reach their goals and getting great results. I was out with a couple of friends last night whose daughters also attend Kristina’s youth class. We were all saying what a positive influence Kristina has on the girls and how much they enjoy training with her. It is great for the girls to have a program outside of school sports where they can challenge themselves and build strength and confidence.
