Perry McGhee, PT, DPT, ATC

Perry McGhee was born and raised in Charleston, WV.  She earned her Bachelor’s of Athletic Training from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN.  During this time, she competed on the Women’s Swim and Dive team as a 4-year varsity athlete and was an active member of Sigma Sigma Sigma national sorority.  In 2023, she graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from West Virginia University School of Medicine.

While earning her bachelor’s degree, Perry traveled to Asia to study the history of the Olympic Games.  She explored China, Japan, and South Korea while learning about their cultural impact on sports.  She worked both as a student employee for the Gustavus hockey teams and as a teaching assistant for undergraduate kinesiology and the therapeutic modalities courses.

In the fall of 2022, Perry had the privilege of working as a student physical therapist for the West Virginia University Football team.  While earning her Doctorate of Physical Therapy, Perry continued to work as an Athletic Trainer with the HealthWorks Rehab and Fitness in Morgantown, WV.  She worked 3 seasons as a contract employee for the MLB Draft League serving as an Athletic Trainer for the West Virginia Black Bears.  In the winter months, Perry spent her free time volunteering with the Challenged Athletes of WV’s adaptive ski program.

Perry’s passion for sports medicine and rehabilitation led her to move to Vermont and join the VASTA team.  She strives to provide quality evidence-based practice to all patients and is eager to help individuals reach their rehabilitative, fitness, and athletic goals.

Personal:

Outside of the clinic, Perry enjoys spending time with family and friends.  Growing up, most of her winter weekends were spent with her parents, older brother, and twin sister on the ski slopes.  She currently snowboards but is hoping to make the transition back to skiing in the near future.  In warmer weather, Perry enjoys swimming and hiking.  When time allows, Perry loves to travel both in and out of the US.
