Zach Schmitz, DPT

Zach earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2025 after completing a Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Med program at the University of Vermont. Prior to pursuing physical therapy, he worked in corporate management consulting, where he developed strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills that now inform his clinical decision-making.

Zach is passionate about sports and orthopedic rehabilitation, with a particular interest in working with athletes. His clinical focus is on returning patients to their sport, work, and hobbies while also optimizing performance and reducing the risk of future injury. He integrates data-driven insights, such as objective measures, performance metrics, and movement analysis, into the rehabilitation process to guide decision-making and enhance patient outcomes. His dedication to the profession was shaped by personal experience.  After sustaining numerous sports-related injuries, Zach saw firsthand the power and impact of physical therapy, inspiring him to pursue a career centered on helping others move and perform at their best.

Personal: Outside of the clinic, Zach is a local soccer coach and enjoys staying active through skiing, biking, golf, and a wide range of outdoor recreational activities. His involvement in sport as both an athlete and coach enhances his understanding of the physical demands placed on the body, allowing him to better connect with and support his patients.
