Neil MacKenzie, PT, DPT, OCS

A native Vermonter, Neil graduated from Connecticut College in May 2013 with a BA in Biological Sciences.  He then returned to the University of Vermont where he graduated with his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in May 2017.

Neil pursued post-doctoral work at the University of Utah, where he completed the Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency program prior to joining the staff at VASTA Physical Therapy.  This included 1 year of specialty training in evidence-based musculoskeletal care, manual therapy and advanced treatment of the spine.  During this time, Neil also had the opportunity to teach in the University of Utah Physical Therapy program.

Neil is also trained and certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling (TDN).

Neil remains actively involved with ongoing research with special focus on developing Clinical Practice Guidelines for Work Rehabilitation.

Neil is passionate about keeping competitive athletes and weekend warriors active and on their respective playing fields.

Personal:  While at Connecticut College, Neil was president of the men’s club hockey team and an active member of the club golf program.  Outside of work, Neil enjoys backcountry skiing, mountain biking, ice hockey, golf, and cheering on Boston sports teams.
