Sydney Connor, PT, DPT

Sydney grew up in Western Massachusetts, and attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst where she graduated with a degree in Kinesiology in 2017. While at UMass, Sydney was a member of the Division 1 varsity swim team and competed in the breaststroke and butterfly events for 4 years. It was here that she became interested in physical therapy and sports rehabilitation, so she decided to further her education.

Sydney graduated from the University of Delaware with a Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2020. While there, she also completed a Master of Science in Anatomy and Clinical Health Sciences. After graduation, she moved to North Carolina and worked in an outpatient sports and orthopedics practice, gaining valuable clinical experience prior to coming to VASTA. Sydney then furthered her education and clinical skills by completing a 1 year advanced residency program through Arcadia University to become a board certified specialist.

Sydney’s interests are in sports and orthopedic rehabilitation, and she enjoys helping her patients maximize their performance and function throughout all stages of their rehab. She uses an individualized approach, combining manual therapy, strength and mobility, and education to facilitate the best possible outcome for each patient. She enjoys working with athletes and active patients of all ages, helping them to achieve their specific goals so they can get back to the activities they love.

Personal: Sydney grew up a competitive swimmer, and now also enjoys exploring new ways to be active, including running and strength training. She loves exploring the outdoors through hiking and skiing with her fiancé, Alex, and their dog, Tucker.
