Emily is a native Vermonter, originally from Shelburne, VT. She attended the University of Vermont, where she received her B.S. in Biological Sciences in 2012. During this time, she was a 4-year member of the Women’s Varsity Soccer team. Upon graduation, she became a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, originally joining the VASTA team as a Performance Coach, prior to returning to the University of Vermont where she graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Additionally, she presented and published research that analyzed the Movement Competency Screen and its ability to predict injury and performance in Naval Academy Officers. Upon completion of her DPT in 2016, Emily began her career in outpatient sports/orthopedics in Lebanon, NH, while also pursuing post-doctoral work with Arcadia University’s Orthopedic Residency program. Completing this program allowed her the chance to gain advanced skills in evidence-based musculoskeletal care and manual therapy. Emily is passionate about sports and orthopedics rehabilitation and strives to take her patients beyond rehabilitation and back to high level performance. She enjoys integrating manual therapy, exercise interventions, and education to make PT a collaborative process with her clients so that they each feel empowered to reach their goals. Emily is a board certified clinical specialist in orthopedics and sports. She is also trained and certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling.
