Jocelyn Somers, BS, CSCS

Jocelyn graduated from the University of Vermont with a Bachelors in Exercise and Movement Science. While in college, she was involved in the programming and exercise instruction for active populations with Multiple Sclerosis and Down Syndrome.

Before she moved to Vermont for college, she was a lifeguard, swim instructor, and coach in New Jersey. She spent her summers leading aquatics camps at the beach and in the pool. She has experience working with a wide variety of clientele, from 6 months old to upwards of 80 years.

Jocelyn has been involved in sports as long as she can remember, but really became interested in performance training when she realized its long term benefits. She believes outdoor activities are an important part of a happy life, and trains to keep her body balanced and ready for next season’s activities.

Personal

Jocelyn loves travelling throughout the Northeast for climbing, snowboarding, hiking, biking, and paddleboarding adventures. When in Burlington, you can find her running on the bike path, or snowboarding at a local mountain.

Philosophy

Be smart in the gym so you can have fun outside! Training should be fun, and the goal is always to feel more confident in your body’s ability.
