Alex Denny, DPT, CSCS

Alex graduated in 2015 with a B.S. in Health and Exercise Science from Castleton University, where he played D3 lacrosse. The 3 years to follow were spent coaching elite skiers, snowboarders, and cyclists at Killington Mountain School in Killington, VT. As head strength and conditioning coach and assistant alpine ski/ freeski/ lacrosse coach, he developed a keen eye for movement and performance across multiple athletic disciplines and between the gym, the field, and the ski slopes. Alex collaborated with other coaches, athletic trainers, and other healthcare professionals in coaching, training, and rehabilitating athletes both virtually and face to face.

Alex made the decision to return to school at Russell Sage College to pursue a career in physical therapy. He completed his doctoral work in May 2021 and will be joining VASTA’s physical therapy team in September, 2021.

With Alex’s background in athletics combined with his DPT education, he brings a unique skillset to VASTA’s performance training team that is centered around sound movement technique training and education, along with therapeutic exercise prescriptions in order to create more functional, balanced, and able athletes.
