Alex Denny, PT, DPT, CSCS

Alex graduated from Castleton University in 2015 with a B.S. in Health and Exercise Science.  Following graduation, he spent 3 years with Killington Mountain School in Killington, VT coaching, training, and rehabilitating elite skiers, snowboarders, and cyclists.  Alex became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) prior to attending Russell Sage College, where he graduated with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) in May of 2021.

Although his education has been focused primarily in therapeutic intervention, he has remained active in the strength and conditioning community as well, working as a personal trainer with VASTA since finishing his doctoral work.  By working in both physical therapy and performance training at VASTA, Alex strives to create a smooth and seamless transition between rehabilitation and performance in order to return patients to their activities and lifestyles safely, quickly, and at the highest possible functional level.

Personal: Alex spends most of his free time outside skiing, mountain biking, hiking, and climbing.  He enjoys multiple forms of exercise including crossfit, yoga, and trail running.  Alex has a goldendoodle pup named Ralphie, who joins him on almost every adventure and is training to be a therapy dog!
